SCP map written by Patrick EGLOFF TK5EP
This page is intended to help you finding the azimut and distance to a rainfall zone over Western Europe in order to find a Rain Scatter point to be used for microwave DX communications.
Moving the mouse over the map will show you latitude, longitude, WW locator of the mouse position (SCP) and azimut + distance from this SCP to your home location and to the DX location if you have set it.
You must at first set your home location ! To do this, move the cursor to your home location, click on the map and a dialog box will open. The 2 buttons allow you to set your home location as well as the DX station you want to reach. You can also manually enter the Home and DX locators by hand by clicking on the same icons on the upper part on the page.
Settings :
The
button displays a Maidenhead grid over the map.
The
button displays the cloud map limits.
The
button on the right allows you to toggle the rainfall image.
The
button on the right allows you to switch between a static or and animated map.
All the traditionnal Google map features are available. You can zoom to street level, change map type, etc... All settings (zoom level, map position, home location and map type) are stored for you next visit(s).
The map can be moved by holding down the mouse, the
icon will appear.
Zooming can be done with the mouse wheel or the
controls.
The page, so maps, is reloaded every 10 min. You can force the reloading by clicking on the
